About Janelle Sam — Small Law Firm Consultant & Life Strategist
I rebuild lives the way I rebuild businesses — with a plan, with data, and without apology.
Executive advisor. Cornell MBA. Rebuilder of things people said couldn't be rebuilt.
From Fortune 500 operations to small law firm consulting
I started my career in operations — managing workflows for Fortune 500 clients at Williams Lea, working with firms like Goldman Sachs, Bain & Co, and Macquarie. I learned how large organizations actually run, and more importantly, where they quietly fall apart.
When the housing market collapsed in 2008, I lost my job. I became a stay-at-home parent for the next six years — but I didn't stop building. I became co-president of my local Junior Woman's Club chapter and spearheaded some of the largest townwide charitable fundraising events in our community. I led my daughter's Girl Scout troop. The title changed, but the work was the same: organize people, build systems, get results.
In 2015, I walked away from a 13-year marriage. I went back to school and earned my MBA from Cornell — graduating in 2020, right into the middle of a pandemic. I learned to travel solo for the first time in my life. I relocated from New Jersey to Texas in 2021 and launched my consulting practice, bringing everything I knew about operations and systems to small law firm owners who were drowning in their own businesses.
Since then, I've worked with hundreds of firms nationwide — fixing what's broken, building what's missing, and getting owners out of the day-to-day so they can actually lead.
Rebuilding in public — and helping others do the same
During the pandemic, I started sharing my story on TikTok. Not as a strategy — just as someone being honest about what rebuilding actually looks like when nobody's handing you a playbook.
It resonated. Millions of views, thousands of messages, and a community of people going through their own versions of the same thing. Women leaving toxic relationships. Men starting over after financial collapse. Professionals who had the credentials but couldn't figure out why their lives still felt stuck.
The questions they were asking me sounded familiar. They were the same questions my law firm clients had been asking: How do I know what to fix first? How do I stop reacting and start planning? How do I build something that doesn't depend on one person holding it all together?
The framework was the same. The scale was different. That's when everything clicked.
How I help business owners and rebuilders
I work at the intersection of personal rebuilding and business strategy — because in my experience, you can't separate the two. The owner who won't delegate is often the person who learned early that trusting others gets you burned. The entrepreneur who underprices everything is often the one who was told their work wasn't worth much. The business decisions and the personal patterns are connected, and I address both.
Small law firm consulting & business operations
I help small law firm owners and other business owners build the operational infrastructure that turns revenue into actual profit: processes, KPIs, accountability systems, and financial clarity. Hundreds of businesses served nationwide, from remote advisory to long-term, hands-on operational turnarounds. My goal is always the same — get the owner out of the day-to-day so they can lead, not just operate.
Life rebuilding strategy
I share the same frameworks I use with business clients — adapted for the person who's staring at a blank page and wondering where to start. Through my workbook Break the Revenue Ceiling, my content on TikTok and Instagram, and my community, I help you move from surviving to strategizing.
Let's talk about what you're building.
Whether you're fixing your business or rebuilding your life, I've been where you are — and I know the way forward.
